Versatility in Motion: Your Perfect License
In the first part of this mini-webinar series, we introduced you to the basic settings of CodeMeter License Central. We compared this stage to the initial configuration of a car. To continue with this analogy, in this part, we will focus on the purpose that your car should be used for. Do you want to take the kids to school? Or do you want to transport large items? Or do you need a family car to go on vacation? Or perhaps a mix of several use cases?
In the CodeMeter world, this translates to the question: "Which licensing models do you want to implement?" The good news is that with CodeMeter License Central, you can implement all licensing models simultaneously. It’s like taking your kids safely to school and transporting your boat to the harbor at the same time.
Back to CodeMeter and the licensing models. CodeMeter offers you 21 licensing options, known as Product Item Options, which you can use to model licenses. In this webinar, we will highlight the most popular of these options and show you how to use them to model classic perpetual licenses, subscriptions, maintenance contracts, trial licenses, concurrent user licenses, named user licenses, pay-per-use licenses, and even pure contracts that technically aren't licenses at all in CodeMeter License Central.
To conclude, we will give a brief preview of feature-based licenses, which we will cover in detail in Part III of the webinar series.
