TECHNO-FRONTIER 2019

Organized by the Japan Management Association, TECHNO-FRONTIER is an exhibition dedicated to the latest technologies in mechatronic devices and electronic units and components.

WIBU-SYSTEMS K.K. will be speaking at the Industry Frontiers special session (Thursday, 18 April, from 2:30 pm local time). Industrie 4.0 and the IoT seem to be on everybody’s lips, but allowing oneself to be dazzled by the luster and potential of new connectivity might also mean exposing invaluable software assets to malicious attacks, illegal operations, or reverse engineering. During his lecture Software Protection and Security Trends in Industrie 4.0 – Learning from Overseas Use Cases, Tomoki Maruyama, our local Representative Director, will take a look at the status quo and new trends in software protection and cybersecurity, with special attention to the German Industrie 4.0 security guidelines and active use cases from overseas. As a special project at the exhibition, the IoT will again have its own dedicated presence. Wibu-Systems will be on site to introduce CodeMeter, its software protection and license management technology. CodeMeter answers the user’s needs on multiple devices (computers, embedded systems, PLC systems, microcontrollers), operating systems common in the industrial realm (Android, Linux, QNX, and VxWorks), and architectures (ARM, x86, and PowerPC). The versatile portfolio works with hardware, software, and cloud containers to store digital keys, software licenses, and confidential information.
