Wibu-Systems supports Early Care
Family-Centered Therapy and Parental Empowerment for Early Development
Our company proudly supports projects that create meaningful impact in early childhood development, especially in areas with limited access to comprehensive care. Partnering with Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (nph), we support the San José Family Center in Honduras, a vital resource for families in Mata de Platano and surrounding communities, promoting the health, education, and well-being of vulnerable children and their families.
Nurturing Early Childhood Development at the San José Family Center
Through our support of nph’s San José Family Center, we help empower 15 young children (ages six months to three years) with developmental delays to achieve critical milestones. These children receive early intervention services that include developmental stimulation and music therapy, helping nurture their cognitive, motor, and emotional growth.
Strengthening Families through Parental Engagement
The San José Family Center actively involves parents in the therapeutic journey, holding bi-monthly parent-child meetings to educate and support caregivers. These sessions equip parents with techniques they can use at home, empowering them to actively contribute to their child’s development. This family-centered approach fosters sustainable progress, allowing the benefits of therapy to continue beyond the center.
A Community Resource for Holistic Development
Recognizing the need for comprehensive care, the center offers additional support in areas such as health, nutrition, and physical therapy. In the nearby communities of San Cristobal and Los Planes, nph has established a toy library, providing families with access to age-appropriate toys that promote sensory, motor, and cognitive development. This initiative underscores the center’s commitment to holistic development and the community's overall well-being.
Addressing Local Needs and Making a Tangible Impact
Located in Mata de Platano, the San José Family Center serves a region where families face challenges like limited economic resources, high illiteracy rates, and lack of formal employment opportunities. The center’s services address pressing community needs and support an underserved population. Results from the past year highlight the positive impact: Within six months, three children reached age-appropriate developmental milestones, illustrating the transformative effects of early, targeted intervention.
