Infineon, Wibu-Systems and the Industrial Internet Consortium together on stage

Oliver Winzenried, CEO and founder of Wibu-Systems

In a unique shared Security Power Hour, the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), Infineon Technologies, and Wibu-Systems will offer mobile and industrial decision makers an introduction to security, and hardware-based security in particular, as the key pillar in a world that is getting more and more connected by the day. At the end of the session, the audience will be able to contribute directly to the discussion. The Infineon Security Power Hour will take place in hall 8, theatre B, at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain, on February 25, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm.

In his presentation, Bill Hoffman, President of the IIC, will illustrate how billions of connected devices are reshaping the very nature of society, while Stefan Hofschen, Division President Chip Card & Security of Infineon Technologies, and Oliver Winzenried, CEO and founder of Wibu-Systems, will delve into security solutions designed for the Industrial Internet and their successful implementation in it.

Oliver Winzenried is thrilled by the convergence of different technologies: “The Mobile World Congress is the right platform to promote security in the era of the Internet of Things. The transformation propelled by the Internet of Things offers new business and usage models for vendors and users alike. For their successful rollout, security is undisputedly a key element. This is an opportunity for us to show the effectiveness of endpoint security that combines secure elements from Infineon with Wibu-Systems’ protection and licensing technologies. Together with the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), we want to raise awareness among decision makers around the topic of security and contribute to the triumph of the Internet of Things.”

“As requirements in the Internet of Things are manifold, partnering will be key in order to provide easy-to-use and end-to-end security solutions to IoT device makers and service providers. Our recently launched Infineon Security Partner Network (ISPN) creates a place to find security solutions delivered by security players”, says Dr. Stefan Hofschen.

“The Infineon Security Power Hour will provide attendees with a brief overview of the IoT market and the important role of security. I am looking forward to a great discussion!”, adds Bill Hoffman.
